AGT, in consortium with the ISS LabRuhr (D), EMBL EM (D) and MEDES (French Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology) has won a European tender to become the first European Space Agency (Esa) Commercial Agent for the transfer of the International Space Station (ISS) capabilities to the World industries in the Biotechnology, Health, Food and Nutrition. The contract, the first of its type for Esa, was signed in September 2004 and is intended to explore the potential of the International Space Station for the special research and development of application programs with the European and world Industries.
